Extended Care Assistant located in Swansea, Tasmania
About the Role.
May Shaw has casual opportunities, with the possibility of PPT, for Extended Care Assistants (ECAs) at our Swansea location. Our ECAs provide a high standard of person-centred care to residential and home-based aged care clients.
Swansea is a beautiful coastal town situated 2 hours from Hobart and 1 hour and 40 minutes from Launceston.
Key responsibilities of ECAs include:
• Providing personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity related to activities of daily living and lifestyle
• Working within a multidisciplinary team inclusive of other ECAs, Hotel Services, Lifestyle, Nursing and other staff to achieve the best care outcomes
• Completing all documentation in an accurate and timely manner, and assisting with assessments and reviews as necessary
• Demonstrate consideration, understanding and respect for clients and their families at all times in all interactions.
About You.
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent).
• Experience in an Extended Care Assistant or Personal Care Worker role.
• Ability to work across all shifts.
• A current Police Check (not more than 12 months old)
• COVID and Flu vaccinations
